A new life for Health in Portugal

The provision of health care services requires a continuous effort to innovate. Therefore, Everythink joined the Pact for Innovation in Health, helping to stimulate innovation, develop new standards of service, integrate new technologies into the health system, and position Portugal as an ecosystem with the critical mass to pilot new solutions.
This project, The projects included in this mobilizer focus on generating relevant results, between products, services, and strategies, oriented towards the needs and challenges of providing healthcare at an international level, in favor of its efficiency and effectiveness, and which reinforce the positioning, capabilities, and competitiveness of Portuguese companies and the health cluster in the global economic scenario.
To this end, the existence of a consistent and articulated structure between different partners is essential: public, private, social, hospital, primary health care, home care, municipalities, etc., and implementation.
Through the use of high technology, design, development, and industrialization of products and services, data valuation, and the potential of artificial intelligence, the conditions are created to create a positive impact on people's health and well-being.
This project, based on national knowledge and technological capacity, on previous R&D results with the SCTN, on the conversion of existing technologies into commercial products, on the opportunity to generate synergies, on the integration of adjacent industries and with the approach to the market, will contribute, in a remarkable way for the economic impact that Portugal intends to achieve.

Everythink's intervention in this area involves collaboration in various research, development, and innovation projects with different partners, always with a view to applying the tools of creativity, design, and engineering to the creation of new products and services.

Agenda Description |
The HfPT agenda aims to position Portugal as a world reference hub in the design, development, and production of advanced solutions aimed at the health markets, based on innovation and technology. HfPT will focus on 4 areas:
i. development of smart health solutions aimed at the digital medtech segment;
ii. creation of a national smart repository of internationally referenced health data;
iii. training for the growth and sophistication of the clinical studies segment in the country; It is
iv. creation of solutions that value the potential of the ecosystem for collecting and benchmarking clinical data and costs associated with the provision of healthcare.
These bets will be addressed by a consortium of 88 co-promoters, who complement each other technically and technologically, concentrating the capacity necessary to achieve the ambitious goals established, which aim to launch 99 new products.

Goals, activities, and expected results |
The HfPT initiative is focused on the conception and development of smart, innovative and technological health solutions. To reach this ambitious goal, Everythink will contribute to developing devices and services for diagnostics and monitoring pathologies, applying their creativity tools and researching the best material and design. Everythink will also cooperate in the development of medical devices and digital and robotic technologies, testing and analyzing their application, ergonomy, and design.

The “HfPT – Health from Portugal” Innovation Pact aims at the development of the national economy through the health industries, within the scope and co-financing of the “Mobilizing Agendas for Business Innovation” of Component 5 of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), on "Capitalization and Business Innovation", under the Regulation of the Incentive System "Agendas for Business Innovation", approved by Ordinance no. 02/C05-i01/2022, which approved the “Invitation for the submission of final proposals for the development of projects within the scope of the Mobilizing Agendas for Business Innovation”, of January 31, 2022, the purpose of the Consortium falling within the terms of the paragraph b) of article 2 of Decree-Law no. 231/81, of 28 July.
