Everythink attended the Procurement Seminar, hosted by SPMS – Shared Services of the Ministry of Health, held on June 30th in Lisbon with a hybrid format. The meeting brought together institutional leaders, experts, and industry professionals to reflect on the main challenges and opportunities in healthcare public procurement.
Throughout the initiative, key topics for the evolution of the public procurement ecosystem were debated, ranging from the revision of the Public Contracts Code (CCP) to new approaches for procurement aggregation, as well as the role of innovation and digital transformation in creating more efficient, transparent, and results-oriented processes.
The opening session featured an address by the Secretary of State for Health Management, Francisco Pinheiro Catalão, who highlighted the importance of "converting budgetary rigor into better care and public demand into real innovation," reinforcing the need to view public procurement as a strategic tool to generate value for the National Health Service.
"The modernization of public procurement depends on the ability to bring together different perspectives and promote continuous dialogue between public entities, experts, and technology companies."
For Everythink, following these types of initiatives represents an opportunity to stay close to the main challenges faced by public organizations, understand the evolution of the regulatory framework, and contribute to the discussion surrounding more innovative, sustainable, and value-oriented procurement models.
The seminar also reinforced the importance of cooperation between the different stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem and the adoption of digital tools capable of increasing operational efficiency and supporting decision-making in public procurement. Among the topics highlighted were the prospects for revising the CCP and the operational challenges of Local Health Units, in a context where innovation plays an increasingly relevant role in responding to the sector's needs.
Everythink's presence at this meeting is part of the company's strategy to follow the main discussion forums on innovation, digital transformation, and public procurement, contributing to an increasingly integrated vision between technology, management, and value creation for organizations.
