When protection becomes part of the ride.

Off-road Handguards

A new generation of handguards designed to meet the demands of off-road riding, balancing protection, compatibility, and engineering ready for mass production.

Designed for any trail

In off-road riding, every impact is part of the experience. Protection must be durable, but it also needs to preserve the freedom of the ride, adapt to different motorcycles, and integrate naturally into the brand's visual language. With this goal in mind, Polisport challenged Everythink to renew its line of handguards. The challenge was to develop a solution capable of responding to market evolution, combining robustness, compatibility across different models, aesthetic quality, and industrial viability into a single product platform.

Engineering validated before industrialization

Development began with defining conceptual surfaces and evolved into engineering components fully specified for plastic injection molding. Throughout the process, Everythink and Polisport worked in close collaboration to optimize every detail, from mounting systems and structural reinforcements to ergonomics, wall thickness, and part finishing.

3D visualizations and 3D-printed prototypes allowed for the validation of component behavior before industrialization, ensuring proper fit, ease of assembly, durability, and the visual quality of the final set. This approach reduced development risk, accelerated the decision-making process, and enabled a faster time-to-market.

A platform ready for different motorcycles

The result was a range of handguards with a refreshed design, high impact resistance, and compatibility with various models and handlebar configurations. The modular approach allowed for the development of solutions that combine protection, low weight, ease of assembly, and a formal language consistent with the rest of the Polisport portfolio, while maintaining the technical requirements of injection molding. The new products offer a consistent experience for both professional riders and enthusiasts, balancing technical performance, perceived quality, and production efficiency.

The project also established a development methodology that can be applied to future categories of motorcycle accessories. The knowledge gained, the modular approach, and the defined engineering principles have become a foundation for new developments at Polisport, promoting greater consistency across products and reducing the development time for future solutions. The handguards are already on the market and have been very well received by users and distributors, reinforcing a partnership that continues to evolve.
