Control energy. Simplify management.

EDP EV Fleet

An integrated solution for managing corporate electric fleets, combining a physical and digital Fleet Card, Wallet, management platform, and app to provide greater control, predictability, and flexibility.

The challenge and development of the solution

The electrification of corporate fleets has brought new challenges to mobility management: controlling consumption, simplifying billing, responding to different charging contexts, and ensuring cost predictability for companies and employees. To address this reality, EDP Comercial challenged Everythink to develop an integrated product-service solution that would simplify the use and management of electric mobility, adapting to different usage profiles and reinforcing the adoption of electric vehicles in the corporate context. The project was based on a strategic design approach centered on user needs.

The process included internal alignment with the EDP team, qualitative interviews, co-creation sessions with companies, leasing firms, ride-hailing operators, and car manufacturers, as well as insight analysis, idea mapping, and concept validation. This work allowed for the transformation of real needs into a consistent proposal, balancing the objectives of fleet managers with the daily experience of drivers.

A platform prepared for the adoption of electric mobility

The result was an integrated solution consisting of a physical and digital Fleet Card, Wallet, management platform, and mobile app, allowing the entire charging experience to be managed within a single ecosystem. The platform provides features such as financial management, spending limits, alerts, detailed reports, and consumption control, while the Wallet allows for charging at home, at the office, or on the public network (CEME), with customization by user or vehicle and different payment methods, including prepaid, postpaid, and credit.

Throughout the project, it was confirmed that factors such as simplicity, flexibility, transparency, and trust are decisive for the adoption of these solutions. Users value clarity in rates, speed in billing, and ease of use, while managers seek rigorous control of costs and access. The architecture developed was designed to grow with the market, being adaptable to new segments and geographies and capable of integrating complementary services, such as tolls, parking, or assistance, reinforcing EDP's vision of creating an increasingly complete and interoperable electric mobility ecosystem.
